About the Role
We are seeking a
Data Engineer
to design, build, and operate reliable, scalable data pipelines and data structures on our enterprise analytics platform, with a strong focus on
Microsoft Fabric
.
You’ll work closely with the Data Platform Manager, analysts, and stakeholders to ensure high‑quality, well‑governed data is available to support Power BI reporting, analytics, and advanced data use cases.
Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric (Data Factory, Dataflows Gen2, Lakehouse)
Ingest and transform data from source systems using ELT patterns
Develop robust data transformations using SQL, notebooks, and Fabric‑native tooling
Create curated data layers and analytical models optimised for reporting and analytics
Build and support governed semantic models for Power BI
Embed data quality controls, validation rules, and reconciliation checks into pipelines
Support data governance requirements including security, privacy, metadata, and lineage
Monitor and support production data pipelines and resolve data or performance issues
Collaborate with analysts, BI developers, and platform leads to continuously improve data capability
About You
You’re a technically strong Data Engineer who enjoys building reliable data foundations and working collaboratively across teams.
Key Skills & Experience
Experience as a Data Engineer or Analytics Engineer
Hands‑on experience with
Microsoft Fabric
or comparable modern data platforms
Strong SQL skills and experience with data transformations (PySpark / Python desirable)
Solid understanding of Lakehouse and data warehouse concepts
Experience supporting Power BI through datasets and semantic models
Strong attention to detail and a focus on data quality and reliability
Clear communicator with a customer‑focused mindset
