Full Description

Warehouse Dispatch Coordinator This is a hands on dispatch role, but with an admin edge — not a clipboard-and-headset supervisor job. If you've spent your career on the warehouse floor and want to step into more responsibility without losing your hands-on edge, this is for you. Who We Are One of Australia's leading specialist wholesalers of fasteners and marine hardware. National reach, strong industry reputation, over a decade in business. A small, capable team where good people stay and grow. Our warehouse runs on stock availability and dispatch accuracy. We move real product to real customers — fastener shops, timber yards, marine chandleries, industrial buyers across Australia. The work is practical, the team is tight, and the business is stable. The Role Day-to-day, you're picking, packing, and getting orders out the door — and you're also the one keeping the admin side of dispatch in order: returns, credits, daily KPI reports, customer enquiries. Hands-on work with an admin side that comes with it. You'll work alongside our long-time Warehouse Supervisor, who knows the products inside-out and will be your go-to for the trade detail (and there's plenty of it — fasteners is a fiddly business). Your job is to keep dispatch moving on both fronts: the floor and the paperwork. A typical day: Co-ordinate and participate in picking, packing, and dispatching customer orders — this is the core of the role Ensure orders are processed in the correct priority Investigate errors and complete required actions Process returns and customer credits Handle phone and email enquiries from customer service Process reports for daily KPIs (picks, errors, consignments) Keep the credit/returns and stray stock locations clean and current Liaise with the office team (Internal Sales, Purchasing) when issues need joint attention Step in and cover other warehouse functions when the team is busy The role operates during standard daytime working hours with occasional later finishes when the dispatch day demands it, but the expectation is that in this role, you see the day's work through. What You'll Bring Current forklift licence (counterbalance and/or reach truck) — mandatory 5+ years in a warehouse environment, ideally including some admin or supervisory exposure Comfortable on the floor AND on the phone/email — not "office" or "warehouse," but both Clear written English Computer-comfortable — we run a modern ERP/WMS and you'll be expected to learn it well Naturally organised — you notice when paperwork's slipping or stock's out of place Quiet, steady authority — you influence peers by being good at the work and being fair, not by giving orders Self-managing — you don't need to be told what to do next Bonus points B2B wholesale warehouse background (industrial rather than retail) Experience with Odoo or a similar ERP/WMS Interest in process improvement and how technology can make work better Small-business experience where you've worn several hats What's In It For You A genuinely varied role — never just one thing, never just at a desk, never just on the floor A small team where your contribution is visible and your judgement is trusted Direct working relationship with the Director — no layers, no politics A stable, established business with a strong industry position Room for the role to evolve as the business grows Secure on-site parking and a workplace where people actually know each other
