Developer Programmer

Key Responsibilities Analyse user requirements, business needs and system specifications to design software solutions. Interpret technical designs and functional specifications and translate them into working software applications and system components. Develop, test, implement, deploy and maintain software applications and related system components. Write, modify and maintain efficient, reusable and reliable code in accordance with established quality standards. Perform debugging, troubleshooting, and optimisation of existing systems. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide technical solutions. Design and maintain databases, APIs, and system integrations. Conduct system testing, validation, and documentation of software processes. Ensure software meets quality, security and performance requirements. Maintain version control and participate in code reviews. Provide application maintenance, defect resolution, and ongoing system enhancements for existing software products. Maintain and enhance existing and legacy software systems. The role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work across the full software development lifecycle. About You Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. Minimum 1 year of relevant experience as a Developer Programmer or in a similar role. Strong knowledge of programming languages such as NodeJS & TypeScript . Advanced proficiency in NodeJS and TypeScript is required. · Familiarity with AWS cloud services and have a general familiarity with the main services. Main AWS Services used are Amazon EC2, Amazon ECS, Amazon ECR, Amazon Route53 DNS Service, Amazon Certificate Manager (ACM), Amazon Secret Manager, Amazon SES. Experience with web development frameworks and database management systems, including SQL and NoSQL environments. Experience designing, querying and maintaining relational databases, including MySQL and PostgreSQL. Experience using modern developer productivity tools, including AI-assisted coding and debugging tools, is essential. Experience with multiple AI-assisted coding and debugging tools is required. Understanding of software development methodologies (Agile/SDLC). Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Australian citizenship is required for this position.
