AI Solution Developer Confidential | Brisbane | Hybrid (3 days onsite) Up to $200k inc. super | Negotiable We're looking for an experienced AI Solutions Developer to join a growing technology team delivering advanced AI capabilities within a large, structured enterprise environment. This role is suited to someone who combines strong engineering capability with a commercial, delivery-focused mindset, someone who understands how to build practical, scalable solutions that operate within real-world constraints, not just experimental or startup-style environments. This is not a training role. We need someone who has been here before, who has built production-grade AI solutions in a regulated enterprise environment, knows the problems that come up, and knows how to work around them. If you're 3-6 months into delivering something similar right now, this is the role for you. The Role This is a genuinely mixed position sitting within a flat, cross-functional squad of developers, business analysts, and data specialists. You won't be heads-down coding in isolation, you'll be working closely with BAs who gather and own requirements, but you'll need to be the one who can stand in front of the business, shape a solution, and think through the architecture before a line of code is written. You'll work across the full lifecycle: discovery and solution design, proof of concepts, hands-on build, MLOps, deployment, and ongoing support. The team works within an Azure environment exclusively, across two main technical streams, pro-code development (C# and Python) and low-code tooling via Copilot Studio. Key responsibilities include: * Evaluating business processes and workflows to identify where AI can deliver tangible value * Designing and delivering production-grade AI solutions including RAG, agentic patterns, vector indexing, and agent-to-agent workflows * Building and operating solutions using MLOps best practices - model lifecycle management, CI/CD, monitoring, drift detection * Working with Copilot Studio and Azure AI Foundry alongside pro-code delivery * Running proof of concepts in sandbox environments to test and compare approaches * Contributing to solution architecture thinking in a flat team structure - there is an architecture team, but you'll need to be able to think "how do I build this" independently * Presenting findings, options analysis, and recommendations to senior stakeholders across both technical and non-technical audiences * Ensuring solutions are built with responsible AI principles - guardrails, explainability, human-in-the-loop controls, and regulatory compliance * Collaborating closely with a team of BAs and developers - sometimes the whole BA team is across a single piece of work alongside you What We're Looking For Tech stack (essential): * Hands-on C# and/or Python in an enterprise environment * Azure - AI Foundry, Copilot Studio, and broader Azure AI services * RAG, vector indexes, and LLM-based system design * Agentic AI - including agent-to-agent workflows * MLOps - CI/CD for AI, model monitoring, deployment automation * Responsible AI design - risk controls, safety mechanisms, explainability Experience: * 5+ years in application development, with 3+ years in AI/ML or a closely related specialisation * Proven delivery of AI solutions in enterprise or regulated environments - not just startup or greenfield * Full lifecycle experience: discovery, architecture, build, test, deploy, handover * Demonstrated ability to run proof of concepts and take them through to production * Exposure to Microsoft low-code tooling (Copilot Studio, Power Platform) - beneficial, not mandatory The person: * Strong team player - this is a collaborative squad, not a lone wolf environment * Comfortable engaging directly with business stakeholders, not just working from requirements handed down by BAs * Can think architecturally in a flat structure without always having someone to defer to * Brings commercial discipline - understands governance, regulated environments, and the difference between an interesting proof of concept and a supportable production solution * Has hit these problems before and knows how to navigate them What's on Offer * Up to $200k package including super - negotiable for the right person * Hybrid working - 3 days onsite in Brisbane CBD * Opportunity to shape how AI is delivered across a large-scale commercial environment * Work within a well-supported, cross-functional squad with real backing to deliver * Regulated, enterprise environment with Azure as the exclusive cloud platform If you've been building production AI solutions in enterprise and you're ready to hit the ground running, we'd like to hear from you.
