An enterprise organisation is seeking two Senior Software Engineers to join a high-impact engineering team delivering a critical entitlements platform as part of a broader digital transformation program.
The platform is built primarily using Node.js and runs within an AWS environment, although delivered through an enterprise abstraction layer that introduces additional complexity. Engineers will need to understand how infrastructure, networking and system components interact.
Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs using Node.js
Contribute across the full software development lifecycle including design, development, testing, and deployment
Develop scalable and secure services within an identity and entitlements domain
Work within AWS environments and navigate infrastructure and networking considerations
Take ownership of code quality including automated unit, integration, and performance testing
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and support reliable deployment practices
Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues
Collaborate with cross-functional team members including product, data, and engineering
Contribute to data modelling and system design decisions
Ensure solutions are secure, performant, and maintainable
Requirements
Strong backend development experience using Node.js
Solid understanding of API design and development
Experience working across the full software development lifecycle
Strong knowledge of AWS or cloud-based environments
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
Proven ability to write and maintain automated tests
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
Experience working in enterprise environments
Desirables
Experience with identity and access management platforms
Exposure to Ping Identity or ForgeRock (Ping IDM)
Familiarity with graph databases such as Neptune
Experience with relational databases such as Aurora
Understanding of networking concepts including gateways and load balancing
